CSA Summit 2019
It’s always a pleasure to attend the CSA Summit and this year was no different. To see friends, colleagues, old and new, to meet and connect with like minded people in the email marketing world whilst being delivered great content on a variety of topics by great speakers.
Of course this would not be possible without the sponsorship of the CSA partners, such as 250ok, Dmarcian, MailerQ, EmailSuccess, Postmastery, Valimail & Community Partners Universal Acceptance. Thank you! The Organisation of the event was fantastic as usual.
Back to the hot topics, Gmail join the BIMI party – Wilkommen!
“For a BIMI logo to be able to be displayed, the sender needs to be authenticated DMARC, SPF and DKIM for us to trust that source. Then, the brand needs to publish the logo in the DNS record.” According to Marcel Becker of Verizon Media Group.
AMP in email, interactive designs discussed by Mark Robbins, exciting times! Email isn’t dying, it’s metamorphosing and moving with the times. You thought GDPR was a big shock to the email eco system? what about DOI Chain? another interesting concept. Reminder: Domain alignment in email is important.
The concept of using emoji in an email address was received with mixed reaction. Some further thought is needed to figure out how would that work and how email marketing tools will need to adapt to be able to handle email lists with such addresses or with other special characters & set types. Universal Acceptance is leading the race to making this possible in email.
So what should we expect with the next generation of consumer email? More quirkiness and colors as it seems! Whatever happens email marketers need to make sure they are compliant and legally covered, other than that, let’s express ourselves. We’re looking forward to future developments of these and other topics discussed, thanks again to the CSA team. We hope to see you all there next year!
